We give these natural elements a language for today…sometimes wry and piratical, at other times whisper-soft and elusive. But, always, the native essence speaks with a voice as solid and protective as nature itself. These are nature’s gifts and worldwide treasures translated for today’s woman. All our jewelry is original. Each piece is made with the most wonderful gems, stones, sea treasures, antiques and precious metals available to us. All arrive with their own story in a soft bed of turquoise tissue. We hope you love wearing this jewelry as much as Janine loves creating it. About JanineJanine Hamilton began her fascination with jewelry as a young child. She would create ornamentation for her dolls out of stones found on a dirt road, wood shavings from her dad’s carpentry shop and thread from her grandmother’s sewing box. She studied art and design in college and went on to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Design had always been an integral part of Janine’s life and she developed a free-lance interior design business upon leaving women’s fashion. She currently also free-lances for “Rochester Magazine” creating design set-up for fashion shoots. Jewelry design has seemed like a natural transition for Janine who started research on gems, minerals and natural rocks and shells in 2006 with her childhood love of jewelry still in mind. She has since been influenced by the extensive travel she enjoys with her husband, Mac. Trips throughout Europe, Asia, South, Central and North America, the traditions and lore of the people as well as their antiquities and architecture, have enriched and colored her art. Janine creates her jewelry in the same home in which she raised her children and plays with her grand-children, set in the middle of the woods and nature but on the near fringes of the city and its bright lights…much like her jewelry.
